Hi, I’m Julie Schappert, the artist and founder of Stones + Glass Designs.

As an artist, illustrator and surface pattern designer with a background in photography and a love for teaching, I create art and DIY experiences that blend creativity with mindfulness. My work is rooted in a practice of seeing the world through a different lens—one that notices quiet moments and finds beauty in the details. I offer embroidery kits, custom illustrations, playful stickers, and creative workshops that inspire joy and support others on their creative path. Having completed the Surface Design Immersion course with Bonnie Christine in May 2025 and am an Immersion Certified Designer, I am excited and ready to share my passion, skills and story through this inspiring medium.

I believe creativity is a powerful way to heal, connect, and slow down—inviting us to trust our intuition and reconnect with ourselves through heartfelt making. It’s about more than creating something beautiful—it’s about making space for joy, reflection, and a little magic along the way.
